JOHN TERRY
John was born in East London England in 1938. He was a Tool Maker & Pattern Maker by trade.
He emigrated to Australia in 1977, settling in Adelaide South Australia living there for 30 years until he retried in 2005, when he moved to Tasmania.
In the early 60's John designed a number of record sleeves for Decca & EMI. He has many hobbies including classical music and opera. The building of reproduction furniture,painting drawing and graphic design.
John works in a variety of painting media including pastels and a combination of both oil paints and pencils. John's subject matter has been landscape,portraits and animals including birds. His main love is seascapes with it's challenge of water movement and transparency.
John is open to any commission in any medium.
TERRY CHARLTON
Terry is in his nineties, sharp witted and leaving many in his wake. As long has he can remember he has been working in wood, building and sailing boats. He was a Sports Store owner in Launceston for 30 years and retired in Swansea in 1985 where he is considered a bit of a Legend.
Terry has always enjoyed wood work. He uses Tasmania timbers such as huon pine, sassafrass, myrtle and oak.
Some of his beautiful work and a 1.2 meter urn currently on display.
